As previously communicated, our nets are being set up to be ready to use from this Saturday 23rd for club members only and only by prior booking, as per current ECB guidelines Use of the nets is subject to the attached conditions which must be agreed to before your booking will be confirmed. If it is found that these conditions are not being meant we may have to remove access again so please read them through. Dear Members, It is with deepest regret that I have to report the death of our former player John Duncan through the coronavirus. During the late 40’s and 50’s John lived in the white house opposite the ground, (where John White now lives,) he played for the club in the 1950 mainly as a second eleven player, then while working for Radio Brighton in 1971 he recorded a piece on Henfield’s bi-centenary which we have in our archives. Over the last few years he had renewed his affiliation with the club, giving generously as a supporter. Dear All Hope you are all well and safe. This is an update on Henfield CC and the effects of Covid-19. As you will appreciate, the situation is changing all the time but I will set out the current position as of today. Finance (as an accountant, I always put finance first) Whilst we have no income from subscriptions, match fees and the bar, I am happy to say that we’ve received a grant from Horsham Council and have applied for a further grant from the Sport England Community Emergency Fund. We have received several generous donations for which we are extremely grateful and a number of members have paid their annual subscriptions regardless of whether any cricket is played and we thank their generosity. Consequently, as spending is currently limited, our bank reserves are more than sufficient to see the club through this period. I am of the opinion that the application to Sport England...
